We are excited to announce Amanda Sage’s next workshop, Mixtek 101, a 2-day LIVE painting class taught in person in Paonia, Colorado and streamed live to a virtual cohort hosted by the Vision Train.
Amanda will guide participants through the Mischtechnik in oil, a layered (“in-direct”) painting method as taught by Ernst Fuchs, combined with direct painting in oil. With 30 years of painting experience in this method and 16 years of teaching, this class is a refresh for anyone already working in it and a great introduction for anyone curious how these mediums interact to create luminous paintings. Participants will also explore a new natural Acrylik paint.
All levels are welcome. The class is geared toward intermediate and advanced painters, with motivated beginners welcome. If you only paint in acrylic, you can still take this class and apply the sequence to get similar effects.
Virtual Ticket Included
- Access to the recordings to review
- A designated space to share progress and get feedback from the collective, during and after the class
- A LIVE group review in mid-December (date TBD) for online participants. A week before the class, you will be invited to upload your work-in-progress and questions through a form.
