Together, we are building the longest and most colorful train in history.
The Vision Train Drawing Project is a global, participatory art movement where people of all ages are invited to express their vision for a more inspiring and colorful world — through drawing, writing, and creative exploration.
Each Train Car is a unique expression — just like each of us.
A container for your ideas, your dreams, your prayers for yourself, your community, humanity, and the Earth.
You can be specific or abstract.
You can draw, write, collage, map, or imagine.
This is not about making “good art.”
It’s about listening deeply and allowing your vision to come through.
Initiated in 2017 by artist Amanda Sage in Los Angeles, the project first took root in teacher Matt Kerr’s 4th grade classroom in Watts, CA. What began as a classroom exploration has grown into a global movement, with over 2,000 Train Cars created across schools, festivals, hospitals, shelters, studios, and homes around the world.
Each one is a piece of a much larger story.
Together, we are remembering what is possible.
An interactive app is currently in development — a digital space where participants will be able to upload their Train Cars and connect them into an ever-expanding Train, linking visions across communities, continents, and cultures.

- What is my gift?
- What is my “good”?
- What does a future worth living for feel like?
- What am I here to contribute?
Let go of needing it to look like something. Be curious. Be bold. Be honest.
As you create, feel your vision as if it is already real. Let it move through you without judgment.
