Following the Tracks: Vision Train at the Design Science Studio Interdependence Summit

Vision Train|

"The best way to predict the future is to design it."

— R. Buckminster Fuller

One of the most beautiful things we’ve witnessed this year is that the Vision Train doesn’t stop when a Trip ends.

It continues through the relationships we build, the communities we encounter, and the invitations that emerge along the way.

Over the past few months we’ve shared a nine-day CONNECTION gathering, welcomed showcases from the Art Nunz and the Design Science Studio, hosted two Critical Mass convergences, and watched new communities begin finding one another aboard the Train. Amanda Sage’s recent travels—from Xilitla, Mexico, to Colorado, Fly Ranch, and now Hopland, California—have continued to reveal an expanding network of artists, designers, educators, and community builders working toward regenerative futures.

Taken individually, these moments may seem like separate stories.

Together, they reveal a pattern.

Communities are beginning to recognize one another.

This week, that journey continues at the Design Science Studio Interdependence Summit, part of the regen·era Rising gathering in Hopland, California.

For three days, Gateway Mendocino becomes a living village of creativity, collaboration, and regeneration. Artists, systems thinkers, educators, designers, musicians, and changemakers come together through workshops, immersive experiences, conversations, music, shared meals, and collective imagination—not simply to talk about a better future, but to begin practicing it together.

Inspired by the words of R. Buckminster Fuller,

“The best way to predict the future is to design it.”

the summit invites participants to explore what becomes possible when we move from competition to collaboration, from extraction to regeneration, and from “me” to “we.”

The Vision Train is honored to be part of this growing ecosystem of organizations and communities that are discovering one another and weaving new relationships across disciplines, cultures, and geographies.

Because this is how the Train keeps moving.

Not only through the Trips we host, but through the people we meet, the stories we share, and the futures we begin creating together.

We look forward to seeing where the tracks lead next.
